This is not investment advice of any sort. Rather, it is a discussion around some of the most common hangups we face when it comes to making room for saving in our budgets. I personally believe the behavioral aspect of personal aspect is the biggest piece of the puzzle, and these are 7 reasons why I believe most people aren't saving enough, or any money. Being Intentional & Welcome to My Channel
Просмотров 2925 лет назад
Giving this another go. I can't shake the itch to create. It's never not in my ear. Being intentional is something I've been actively working on over the past year or so as I've slowly been transitioning to a minimalist lifestyle. And yet, I still find myself shuffling through life and just "going through the motions" in so many ways. So I've given myself the task of being overtly intentional f...

Best effort is great! Thank you for introducing me to the tie-out word. Tell me more about what you meant about people taking turns ordering food.. What do you know about others diet wishes, so this is okay, or does the company have someone to do this? If you do not mind, please make a video about it, as I am curious.
Sean, I can’t thank you enough for this video. While I don’t work in accounting, I am an attorney whose practice area has an analogous “busy season” for drafting multi-billion dollar contracts. This is my first year with primary lead responsibility for a major contract and I am simultaneously excited and terrified. I needed this bracing pep talk, and if I am not getting it at work, I am very glad to have it on RUclips. Thank you!
In the long run, if/when you transition from public to industry, having a graduate degree will matter when it comes to getting a promotion or raise.
THANK YOU FOR VID. Short and sweet. I’m going into uni soon after I’m done with community college but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get a masters! I needed a second opinion that wasn’t biased with the whole more education= better, which isn’t anyways the case. Thank you!!!
THANK GOD! I DEFINITELY NEEDED THIS, GOOGLE WAS NOT HELPFUL. I am not going to go for my master's, I already have my BA of science in accounting... I just need to figure out what I'm going to do next. Do the extra 30 credits of classes have to be in the accounting field? or can I just choose something I'm interested in?
What about people with engineering degree? How can i meet the CPA requirements?
Why you want out of engineering?
@@unc1221 Because it is good to understand the business of finance and accounting. Also, with advent of AI I want to expand my skills in both engineering and finance/ accounting.
@@Hi_Google bro what? Just learn on RUclips or Udemy. Unless you’re trying to be an accountant. It’s simple, tedious work, number matching.
As an accountant will work in the accounting field dont take a master and if you want to take master dont take it in any major rather than accounting MAcc becouse its more valuable for you than MBA or any other degree
What if I don't know accounting, but I studied in economics and I am going to study in other sphere like accounting????
I really appreciate your insight- I’m a nontraditional student and am in my late 20s and landed a big 4 internship starting this January. I feel less alone now!
What year are you, freshman, sophomore, junior, senior?
I use it to explain my first year experience tomorrow in the welcome section 😂
my CPA teaching institute advised me, to move to USA and Study MASTERS IN ACCOUNTANCY with analytics tack at case western unioversity , along with CPA ?? is it worth it ???
I started my first tie out yesterday…I’ve never felt dumber, defeated and overwhelmed in my entire life 🥲
I’m starting mine soon 😢 any tips
@@wholesomec8664 in the end it was honestly pretty fun! Take a deep breath and put aside your fear of messing up, it’s all stuff you’ve studied! Working papers are all numbered by account classes so it’s very easy to look at a line on the income statement and locate it within the WPs! Remember that everyone knows you’re learning and don’t be afraid to ask questions, you’ll be surprised at how much your colleagues are willing to help and care for your success!
How was it guys?
Having to order other people's food and then getting pissed is such a turn-off. It just feels like one of those vestiges of old guy culture
Hmm. What would you say for someone who got a bachelors in business administration with a concentration in accounting. Finishing up but realized within the past few months I want my CPA. Should I get the masters that mirrors my undergraduate with just the concentration or would you recommend being as though I didn’t get all accounting courses that I’d benefit more from the accounting masters
how much accounting do you actually have to know? like accounting concepts
why do you have 2 watches on? overall good information video dude!
Slime time
If you were going for the same job with someone who has a masters and you both have CPA’s , who do you think they would choose? Yes at a big 4, but most people only stay at a big 4 for 2 years. Masters degrees do matter.
I’d say it would come down to personality and how well they interview. I don’t think it matters.
What if you don’t get you bachelors in Accounting? have a bachelors of your choice and take the supplement classes for a masters ?
Nice recap, thank you!
I have been a staff at my firm for four years so now I don’t give a fuck and I do my least possible or at work and I don’t care. But I want my CPA now unmotivated as I see other Non cpas getting promoted

Sean thanks a lot for uploading this video.I was thinking whether to go for masters in accounting or not.I have 125 credits and need 25 more to sit for CPA exam that you mentioned in your video I can do it from anywhere. But I did my undergraduate from India and have no real experience in USA ..Will it affect?
You make me feel like I can do anything right now.
Sean, this video was such good advice. You literally just made a difference in my life thanks to a 5 minute video. Subscribed!
Master in accounting will add to you if you want to work in 1.academic field 2.govermental sector (you will prefered in promotions) 3.audit field (it will add to you in promotions beside the experience) 4. Some private sectors will choose youbbecouse your highdegree in accounting beside the experience
150 credits? Lucky, I have to get 225
Do you think automation will disrupt the accounting job market?
If I understood correctly оn the West, accounting and auditing companies make money by doing financial analyzes to companies that pay them for those analyzes ?? Isn't that a classic conflict of interest It's like a storekeeper listing his own warehouse. Or as if the cashier were to list and give reports on whether everything was in order in his cash register.
I have been a staff at my firm for four years so now I don’t give a fuck and I do my least possible or at work and I don’t care. But I want my CPA now unmotivated as I see other Non cpas getting promoted
Is ACCA better than doing master accounting
Thank you for sharing. Keep posting !
Hi Sean I really hope you’ll still make new videos cos they are so informative and helpful!
Hi Sean, I’m currently working at a big 4 firm and I hope you still make videos
Hold on. No one cares about if you get a Masters in Accounting? There are many top level accounting positions primarily at senior level and accounting managers positions that require you to have a masters degree specially in accounting. No I haven't learned all I needed to know in my undergrad. I only took 2 classes in accounting during my BS in business administration.
If you are a licensed CPA or at least CPA eligible, no one is going to care whether you have a masters degree or not. The whole point of having a masters degree in accounting is to become CPA eligible (unless of course you want to eventually go the PhD route), but there are other ways to become CPA eligible beyond just getting your masters as I have explained.
I am from Bangladesh and I have completed my bachelor in accounting so how can I understand that my bachelor courses fulfill 150 hours of CPA .
dope lighting camera hahahh
I like the honesty. Good work!
Subscribed because my name is Sean and I too am an accountant. Although I did not go Big 4.
ok sean
You don’t know what you’re doing yet
Very informative video! Thanks✨
Lol I felt the same with my first senior omg it’s been 7 years I’m in this busy life!!
do you mind sharing your location and salary? If thats not too personal? Just curious what 7/8 years into a big 4 would get you as I'll be starting my career in a big 4 next month!
